Native Location:

This local native may be found all over the back country. It is often in open or sandy areas of chaparral or along roadside banks.

April through June

Irrigation:

Extremely drought tolerant. It will exist from rainfall, but will produce blooms for a bit longer if given an occasional watering - perhaps every couple of weeks.

Size:

Grows about two feet tall and one feet wide.

Soil:

Grows best in well-drained soil, but will tolerate sand or decomposed granite.
