Salvia sonomensis (creeping sage) is fairly common in our local chaparral areas and along roadside banks. |

May through June. Goes dormant from later in summer through the following Spring. |
Irrigation: |
Very drought tolerant. Will survive with no supplemental water, but occasional watering will defer dormancy a bit. |
Size: |
Salvia sonomensis creeps along the ground at less than 8 inches. |
Soil: |
Grows best in well-drained soil but will survive in decomposed granite and other unimproved soils. |
